Former RUF and Pro-government Fighters Start Training

(Rapaport…August 3, 2001) Former members of the Revolutionary United Front (RUF) and the pro-government Civil Defense Forces militia started military training outside Freetown on July 30, the Voice of America reported. This is the first step towards integrating the soldiers into the country’s restructured army.
