$15 Million Pledged to Sierra Leone Disarmament Committee

(Rapaport…August 13, 2001) Sierra Leone’s National Committee for Disarmament and Demobilization and Reintegration (NCDDR) said on August 10 that to date it has received pledges of over $15 million. The announcement follows an appeal for $31 million made last May at the Paris International Donors Conference.

Among the donors are the European Commission – $8.9 million – and Germany – $4.6 million.
