RAPAPORT… Online diamond retailer WhiteFlash.com launched a new line of diamond charms for youth called “AWEAR: Jewelry for Conscious Kids.”
The target market is the 15 to 24-year-old metropolitan demographic — a group with collective purchasing power in excess of $350 billion.
The collection joins WhiteFlash’s existing “Dreams of Africa” line (http://www.dreamsofafrica.org,) which was created to inspire children in North America to join in solidarity with disaffected children in Africa.
As part of this initiative, 25 percent of the proceeds from AWEAR will go toward the non-profit World Centers of Compassion for Children International to provide educational opportunities for young victims of the illicit diamond trade.
“Our mission is to inspire compassion in the hearts of our youth and encourage them to take seriously matters of social and moral responsibility,” said WhiteFlash.com CEO Debi Wexler. “These beautiful charms are a stylish way for them to spread the word — and lead the charge.”
Price points range between $250 and $1,500.
